“AMIRA MOUSA is an impact measurement researcher and an international development practitioner. Amira is a Fulbright alumna with a master’s degree in Sustainable Development Practice with a minor in Entrepreneurship from the University of Florida, USA. She was awarded “UF Social Impact & Sustainability Impact Scholar” from the University of Florida for conducting research to understand the motivations and challenges that SMEs in East & Southern Africa face to measure their social and environmental impact and certify as B Corporations.
Amira has obtained her master’s degree after extensive experience in both the development and the construction sectors. She has more than 13+ years of experience managing multidisciplinary engineering projects in the MENA region. In addition to working with local and international NGOs in Egypt, Uganda, and Niger. Her interest to serve youth and underprivileged communities in Africa and the Middle East led her to tackle a range of issues from social entrepreneurship, capacity building, to providing access to clean water to underprivileged communities. Amira worked as a consultant for purpose-driven startups and small businesses in the USA and Egypt, particularly in the renewable energy sector, the green buildings sector, and the education sector. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Civil engineer by training. ”
